Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Associate Chief Nursing Officer - Medical to join our leadership team. This role will assist the Chief Nursing Officer in executive-level management of resources, strategy, and development, focusing on inpatient areas including Women's and Children's, Adult Inpatient, and Patient Care Support Services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in developing and managing the nursing services budget and ensuring sufficient qualified staff to assess patient needs.
  • Ensure continuous performance improvement initiatives measure and improve the quality of care delivered, consistent with organizational priorities.
  • Collaborate with patient care and support departments to foster open communication and mutual problem-solving activities.
  • Manage expenses by analyzing data to identify opportunities to eliminate non-value costs.
  • Assume primary responsibility for projects or task groups, keeping colleagues informed of progress toward desired outcomes.
  • Participate in planning activities associated with design or implementation of renovation, expansion, or construction of patient care areas.
  • Assist in planning new services that generate additional sources of profitable revenue.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in nursing or related field required.
  • Five years of Adult Inpatient Medical Surgical experience in management and supervisory nursing role, with three years of leadership experience in a hospital setting or direct patient care environment.
  • Current Registered Nursing license permitting work in the state of Arizona. Membership in American Organization of Nurse Executives (AONE) preferred.
