Role Summary
The Nurse Practitioner is responsible for advanced nursing evaluations, clinical assessments, and the management of patient care, including prescribing medications. The Physician Assistant, under physician supervision, addresses patients' medical, physical, and psychosocial needs.
Essential Duties
- Conduct comprehensive and focused history and physical examinations.
- Order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic tests to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Perform necessary procedures and provide ongoing patient assessments.
- Prescribe medications and manage treatment plans within the scope of practice.
- Maintain accurate patient records and document treatment progress.
- Provide patient education on preventive care and treatment options.
- Complete additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education
- Must meet educational requirements for ARNP or PA licensure.
Licensure and Certification
- Board Certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant is required.
- Must possess or be eligible for ARNP or PA licensure in Washington state.
- Drug Enforcement Administration registration is necessary.
- Valid driver's license and proof of auto insurance required.
- Basic Life Support certification is mandatory upon hire.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification is preferred.
