About the Position

The Santo Domingo Tribe is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Early Childhood Education Specialist to join our team. As a Lead Teacher, you will play a vital role in providing a nurturing and supportive learning environment for young children and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that promote the growth and development of children in early childhood settings.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistency in program services and communicate effectively with parents and families.
  • Conduct child screenings, evaluations, and referrals, and follow up with families to ensure the best possible outcomes.
  • Encourage parent volunteerism in the classroom and foster a sense of community among families.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field (or Associate Degree in Childhood Development with five years of experience in a preschool setting).
  • Valid New Mexico driver's license and ability to meet Pueblo of Santo Domingo liability insurance requirements.
  • Fluency in English and Keres language skills.
  • Ability to pass a physical examination and maintain eligibility to drive tribal or personal vehicles in the performance of job duties.
  • First Aid/CPR certification and Food Handlers certification.
