Job Title: EHS Specialist

At STEM Talent Solutions, we are seeking a highly skilled EHS Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining environmental, health, and safety programs to ensure a safe and compliant workplace.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement EHS policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Provide safety training to employees, including new hire orientation, equipment-specific training, and ongoing safety refreshers.
  • Investigate incidents and near-misses, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive measures.
  • Maintain records and reports related to EHS programs, including safety audits, training, incident investigations, and corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with management to develop and execute strategies that promote a culture of safety and environmental stewardship.
  • Monitor hazardous materials and waste disposal processes to ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
  • Conduct risk assessments, develop emergency response plans, and lead emergency drills to prepare employees for potential emergencies.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies and coordinate inspections, reporting, and other compliance activities.
  • Stay up-to-date with EHS regulations, industry best practices, and emerging trends to ensure continuous improvement of EHS programs.
