Regional Environment, Health, Safety Specialist

Xylem is seeking a highly skilled Regional Environment, Health, Safety Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our EHS team, you will be responsible for supporting the development, implementation, and monitoring of EHS policies, procedures, and best practices across our regional operations.
Key Responsibilities:- Drive a zero-incident safety culture and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Assist in the development and implementation of sustainability goals and strategies.
- Serve as an EHS subject matter expert and business partner for the region.
- Routinely conduct site visits to provide support and assistance as needed.
- Develop and deliver EHS training programs for new hires and existing employees.
- Identify and mitigate facility/job site hazards and risks.
- Collaborate with managers and staff to institute loss prevention and corrective actions.
- Partner with operations teams to develop and distribute EHS-related communications.
- Support the investigation of accidents and develop corrective actions.
- Participate in EHS audits and assessments.
- Develop and analyze safety data and programs.
- 5+ years' experience in a safety professional role in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (EHS, Environmental, Occupational Hygiene).
- Construction experience preferred.
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Occupational Health and Safety Technologists (OHST) preferred.
- Federal OSHA and state-equivalent programs for occupational safety and health.
- Federal MSHA and state-equivalent programs for occupational safety and health for surface and subsurface mines.
- Federal DOT and state-equivalent programs for commercial fleet safety.
- Federal EPA and state-equivalent programs for environmental protection.
- Behavioral based safety concepts involving industrial and manufacturing processes.
- Working knowledge of computers and Microsoft Word and Excel software.
- Expected travel: 50% (air or car).
