Job Title: Regional Environment, Health, Safety Specialist

Xylem is seeking a highly skilled Regional Environment, Health, Safety Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our EHS team, you will be responsible for supporting the development, implementation, and monitoring of EHS policies, procedures, and best practices across our regional operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive a zero-incident safety culture and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of sustainability goals and strategies.
  • Serve as an EHS subject matter expert and business partner for the region.
  • Routinely conduct site visits to provide support and assistance as needed.
  • Develop and deliver EHS training programs for new hires and existing employees.
  • Identify and mitigate facility/job site hazards and risks.
  • Collaborate with managers and staff to institute loss prevention and corrective actions.
  • Partner with operations teams to develop and distribute EHS-related communications.
  • Support the investigation of accidents and develop corrective actions.
  • Participate in EHS audits and assessments.
  • Develop and analyze safety data and programs.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years' experience in a safety professional role in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (EHS, Environmental, Occupational Hygiene).
  • Construction experience preferred.
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Occupational Health and Safety Technologists (OHST) preferred.
  • Federal OSHA and state-equivalent programs for occupational safety and health.
  • Federal MSHA and state-equivalent programs for occupational safety and health for surface and subsurface mines.
  • Federal DOT and state-equivalent programs for commercial fleet safety.
  • Federal EPA and state-equivalent programs for environmental protection.
  • Behavioral based safety concepts involving industrial and manufacturing processes.
  • Working knowledge of computers and Microsoft Word and Excel software.
  • Expected travel: 50% (air or car).
