Adjunct Faculty Opportunity

We are seeking qualified instructors to join our adjunct faculty pool at McHenry County College. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to teach and mentor students in a dynamic and supportive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities- Teach assigned classes in accordance with the learning objectives and Concourse syllabus, using instructional strategies to engage students.
- Develop and manage working syllabi, course materials, and assignments.
- Provide feedback and evaluate students' performance throughout the learning process.
- Maintain and submit class syllabi, grades, and attendance records, as well as required course-related data.
- Utilize educational technology, such as the course management platform Canvas.
- Assess student learning and submit required reports of assessment results.
- Maintain currency in the professional field.
- Work cooperatively within the department, division, and college to strive for educational excellence.
- Demonstrated teaching experience is preferred.
- Commitment to the mission of the community college and to teaching and motivating community college students in ways appropriate to their diverse backgrounds.
- Strong communication, organization, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
