Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse Labor and Delivery PRN to join our team at Memorial Health Meadows Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare delivery team, you will provide professional and direct nursing care to patients, utilizing the nursing process and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure quality care.

Responsibilities
  • Provide patient comfort, safety, respect, and confidentiality
  • Demonstrate effective therapeutic communication skills with patients, caregivers, and family members
  • Assess patient needs and develop a plan of treatment with the multidisciplinary team
  • Implement and evaluate nursing care provided, prioritizing care plans as needed
  • Interpret physician orders and communicate them to non-professional staff
  • Perform treatment interventions requiring a physician's order and nursing licensure
  • Engage in timely and efficient discharge planning, ensuring patient transition to the appropriate level of care
Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited school of Nursing with an Associate's Degree or higher
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice and/or hold an active Compact/Multi-State RN license
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross - ACLS and NRP certification
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience required
