Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at HexaQuEST Health, Inc. The ideal candidate will have experience in NICU settings and possess a strong understanding of oxygen delivery methods, equipment, and potential side effects.

Responsibilities:
  • Administer respiratory therapy treatments and nebulized medications, understanding the purpose and potential side effects of each.
  • Set up and monitor mechanical ventilators, performing critical care duties as required.
  • Perform arterial punctures to obtain arterial blood samples for blood gas analysis, understanding potential complications and contraindications.
  • Follow departmental equipment sterilization procedures and document all pertinent data on patient medical records.
  • Formulate teaching plans based on patient learning needs and evaluate effectiveness of learning.
  • Treat patients and their families with respect and dignity, coordinating and directing patient care to ensure patient needs are met.
  • Assess patient needs, ability to tolerate treatment, and response to treatment, working with other departments and disciplines to coordinate patient care.
  • Manage and operate equipment safely and correctly, inspecting and testing respiratory therapy equipment to ensure safe and efficient functioning.
  • Participate in performance improvement activities and CQI teams, attending education in-service programs to maintain professional competency.
Requirements:
  • Montana Licensure (Registered Respiratory Therapist)
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist Certification (NBRC)
  • American Heart Association BLS
  • American Heart Association ACLS
  • American Heart Association PALS
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certification in Neonatal-Pediatric Specialist (NBRC-NPS) and/or Adult Critical Care Specialist (NBRC-ACCS)
