Key Responsibilities
  • Administer respiratory therapy treatments, including nebulized medications, and monitor patients' responses.
  • Set up and monitor mechanical ventilators, ensuring safe and effective treatment.
  • Perform arterial punctures to obtain blood samples for gas analysis, and understand potential complications.
  • Document patient data and maintain accurate medical records.
  • Collaborate with other departments and disciplines to coordinate patient care.
Requirements
  • Montana licensure as a Registered Respiratory Therapist.
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist Certification (NBRC).
  • American Heart Association BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
  • Preferred: Certification in Neonatal-Pediatric Specialist (NBRC-NPS) and/or Adult Critical Care Specialist (NBRC-ACCS).
Working Conditions

This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with extended hours, flexible schedules, and on-call availability. You must be able to lift 50 pounds, push and pull equipment, and work in a variety of settings, including NICU and critical care units.
