THE GRILL embodies a classic American chophouse inspired by midcentury New York. It draws significant influence from the era of the Seagram Building and the dining establishments of that time. This venue is a forerunner to the New York Steakhouse, characterized by its intricate and sophisticated approach. It honors the diverse offerings from both land and sea, featuring extensive table-side preparation and service. The term THE GRILL represents not only the restaurant but also the cooking style and the essential equipment utilized for many signature dishes.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Organize and stock cooking stations with essential supplies
- Prepare ingredients for service (e.g., chopping vegetables, butchering meat, crafting sauces)
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to cook menu items
- Follow instructions from executive or sous chefs
- Maintain cleanliness of the station and manage leftover food
- Accurately stock inventory
- Ensure timely and high-quality food service
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Preferred minimum of 2 years experience in high-volume and fine dining establishments
- Culinary diploma or equivalent experience is strongly preferred
- Team-oriented mindset with a positive attitude
- Strong communication skills are essential
