Key Responsibilities

  • Communication: Handle incoming calls, produce quotations and estimates, open and close work orders, adjust time on work orders, or assign technicians to jobs.
  • Technical Knowledge: Possess thorough knowledge of repair and reconditioning components and a working knowledge of Caterpillar requirements for machine maintenance.
  • Team Management: Manage and delegate work to team members, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
Requirements
  • Leadership Experience: Previous leadership and supervisory experience is required.
  • Technical Skills: Strong mechanical knowledge and proficiency in the use of a computer are essential.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills are required, as well as excellent customer relations skills.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to prioritize and multi-task, with a high level of organization and attention to detail.
Physical Requirements

The Service Supervisor role requires the ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time, with the ability to lift, carry, and maneuver items up to 20 pounds in weight. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
