About the Role

A Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides direct care to patients and is a vital part of a healthcare team. They assist Registered Nurses (RNs) and oversee Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to carry out care plans and maintain patient comfort and well-being.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor patient vitals and record them in their file.
  • Maintain patient cleanliness and comfort, including bathing, feeding, and dressing.
  • Assist nursing and medical staff with basic medical tasks, such as administering medication.
  • Update patient records in a confidential manner.
  • Evaluate patient well-being and report any needs to medical staff.
  • Explain treatments and procedures to patients and families.
  • Change dressings and bandages to ensure proper healing.
  • Move patients safely from wheelchairs, beds, and gurneys.
