Job Summary:

CommonSpirit Health is seeking a skilled Connection Specialist to join our team at our Virtual Hospital in Phoenix, AZ. As a Connection Specialist, you will serve as the initial point of contact between our patients, family members, and healthcare professionals at 140+ hospitals across 21 states.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Use exceptional communication and judgment skills to make decisions quickly when answering inbound phone calls.
  • Recognize the difference between emergency and non-emergency calls and quickly evaluate the situation and decide on the appropriate course of action.
  • Practice active listening to connect the dots and know which questions to ask callers to get the critical details needed to accurately and efficiently direct the call.
  • Call responses could include, call routing, code calling, overhead announcements, and sending notifications to essential patient care team members across the country.
  • Provide after-hours remote patient care coverage for patients being monitored while healing at home; serving as their lifeline for questions and an escalation trigger for immediate patient care.

Qualifications:

  • 1-year related experience (customer service environment)
  • Previous healthcare experience is preferred
