Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate mechanical design and analysis tasks within multi-disciplinary project teams, providing guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
  • Develop innovative design and analytical solutions to address a variety of technical challenges, including:
    • Thermal hydraulics, encompassing fluid flow and heat transfer evaluations.
    • Structural integrity assessments, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards.
    • Analysis of mechanical component performance and failure modes.
  • Create detailed design documentation, including 3D CAD models and fabrication drawings.
  • Conduct technical reviews of both internal and external designs or analyses.
  • Effectively communicate project results to both internal stakeholders and clients.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is required.

Experience and Skills:

  • 2-7 years of experience in mechanical design, with a focus on developing a diverse skill set in areas such as fluid dynamics and structural analysis.
  • Proficiency in solid modeling and structural/component design evaluation.
  • Experience in developing technical solutions based on rigorous analysis or testing methodologies.
  • Familiarity with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) software, such as ANSYS.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with engineers from various disciplines to address complex technical problems.
  • Experience in the design, maintenance, or operation of mechanical systems in industrial settings.
  • Strong analytical skills with a solid grasp of fundamental engineering principles.
