Position Overview

Location: Hybrid/Fresno, California - Full-Time (100%) with occasional travel to Sacramento and Remote Work included.

Role Summary: We are seeking an experienced Lead Environmental Compliance Manager with a strong background in California's environmental permitting and regulatory frameworks. This position is vital for ensuring adherence to both state and federal environmental laws, including the California Endangered Species Act, CDFW Lake/streambed alteration agreements, and the Porter-Cologne Act.

Primary Duties:

  • Direct and manage environmental permitting processes within California.
  • Engage with state and federal entities to secure and comply with necessary permits.
  • Offer specialized guidance on environmental regulatory matters pertinent to California.

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven track record in California's permitting and regulatory landscape.
  • In-depth knowledge of the California Endangered Species Act, CDFW agreements, and the Porter-Cologne Act.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Law, or a related discipline; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of 15 years of experience in environmental roles.
