A profound understanding of business processes is essential to craft a unified vision for products and services.


The Vice President of Architectural Solutions should adhere to an architectural framework and justify technical choices in relation to that framework.

Key Responsibilities:
Transform business needs into a technical solution blueprint. The Vice President of Architectural Solutions oversees all facets of the solution, from design to operational execution.

They evaluate software and hardware technologies and best practices based on an assessment of options aligned with the architectural framework.

Engage in projects from the outset, collaborating with analysts during the requirements phase and remaining involved until completion.

Assume full technical stewardship of initiatives/applications, holding primary responsibility for the vision that underpins the solution and its successful implementation.


Select the most suitable technology for addressing specific challenges in accordance with the architectural framework, balancing architectural considerations with the enterprise's business objectives.

Guide and mentor a team of solution architects in specialized areas.

Act as the principal Solution Architect across multiple initiatives, responsible for defining:

How technology can address a specific business challenge?

Which framework, platform, or technology stack should be utilized to develop a solution? What patterns, methods, and tools will be most effective and efficient?

How the application will be structured, including its components and their interactions?

How scalability and maintenance will be managed for future needs?

Assessing the advantages and risks associated with third-party frameworks/platforms?

Perform additional duties and/or special projects as assigned.

Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 7 years of experience across various IT domains OR, in lieu of a degree, a High School Diploma/GED with 9 years of application development experience.


Expertise in at least one (preferably two or more) technical domains: infrastructure (compute, cloud, networking, database), software design and engineering (Java, Spring, JavaScript), messaging technologies (IBM MQ, Kafka), security, UI/UX design.

Proficient in business communication to articulate business benefits, requirements, project timelines, and challenges.

Ability to collaborate and produce results within an AGILE framework (SCRUM and Kanban).

Preferred Attributes:
Strong familiarity with the fintech sector as it pertains to consumer financing.

Extensive experience in service-oriented architecture.

Deep expertise in Agile methodologies.

Critical thinking, problem-solving, and creativity.

Experience in building and deploying applications on cloud platforms.

Understanding of API gateways.

Expertise in mobile solutions, including native and mobile web applications.

Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks such as Zachman or TOGAF.

Grade/Level: 12


The salary range for this position is 130,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.

Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level, or knowledge.

Salaries are adjusted according to market conditions in CA, NY Metro, and Seattle.

Eligibility Criteria:
Must be 18 years or older.

Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Must be willing to undergo a drug test, background investigation, and fingerprinting as part of the onboarding process.

Must be able to meet the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.


New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to apply for other roles.

Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum of 6 months' time in position before they can apply for future non-exempt roles.

Employees at level 8 or higher must have at least 18 months' time in position before they can apply.

All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from their manager to apply (or the approval of their manager and HR if they do not meet the time in position or performance expectations).
