Position Summary: The Parking Services Associate is tasked with the efficient and courteous management of guest vehicles, ensuring safe transportation to and from the parking facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Safely operates vehicles, adhering to best driving practices to guarantee secure transport of vehicles to and from the parking area.
  2. Utilizes the Valet desk computer system to gather details on guest vehicles and claim checks as necessary. Issues tickets that include guest name, room number, vehicle license plate, make/model, charge amount, and duration of stay.
  3. Follows established protocols for vehicle management, including maintaining organized and precise logs of keys and completing necessary valet parking documentation.
  4. Welcomes and expresses gratitude to guests in a professional manner, providing clear and pleasant communication. Addresses inquiries with accurate information regarding local attractions, transportation services, meeting spaces, etc., tailored to individual guest needs. Aids guests with taxi arrangements, wheelchair requests, and parking alternatives.
  5. Promptly responds to Valet phone inquiries using positive and clear communication. Arranges and confirms valet requests from guests and coordinates with bell desk services as needed. Provides accurate information regarding hotel amenities and local attractions.
  6. Collaborates with the Door Attendant to assist in opening vehicle doors and managing luggage to ensure smooth traffic flow in the valet area, including issuing claim checks and tagging luggage as required.
  7. Supports guests during check-in processes.
  8. Performs additional duties as assigned.

Required Skills:

  1. Proficiency in a language other than English is advantageous.
  2. Effective verbal and written communication skills in English sufficient to gather and document necessary information.
  3. Ability to interact positively with both internal and external customers, demonstrating patience, tact, and diplomacy to manage challenging situations.

Qualifications:

Education:

  1. A combination of education, training, or experience that equips the individual with the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities. A high school diploma is preferred.

Experience:

  • No prior experience is required. Experience in driving, hospitality, or roles such as Bell Person or Door Person is preferred.

Licenses/Certifications:

  • A valid Class III Driver's license and a clean Driver's Abstract are required. Proof of insurability is necessary. CPR certification and/or First Aid training is preferred.
