Job Overview

The Parking Facility Cashier serves as the initial and final point of contact for visitors, ensuring a positive experience as they navigate the parking areas. This role is essential in managing the smooth entry into designated parking facilities.

Classification: Part-Time/Non-Exempt

Department: Parking Services

Reports to: Assistant Parking Manager

Key Responsibilities

  1. Deliver exceptional customer service to patrons entering and exiting the parking facilities.
  2. Efficiently process payment transactions using cash, credit, or validated parking permits.
  3. Oversee the flow of vehicles in your assigned lane, ensuring compliance with parking regulations.
  4. Guide guests with directions to various locations within the facility.
  5. Ensure proper parking according to vehicle permits.
  6. Set up and dismantle signage and traffic management tools in accordance with operational guidelines.
  7. Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.

Work Schedule

Work hours will vary based on daily parking needs, with shifts potentially changing week to week.

Qualifications

  1. Demonstrated experience in customer service, preferably within a service-oriented environment.
  2. Prior cashier experience or strong numerical skills are advantageous.
  3. Comfortable working in a cashiering setting.
  4. Possess a positive attitude and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members.
  5. Experience in conflict resolution and problem-solving.
  6. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
  7. Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  8. Professional appearance is essential.
  9. Reliability, diligence, and attention to detail are crucial.
  10. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays is required.
  11. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift equipment weighing up to 30 lbs.
