We are seeking experienced Registered Nurses to join our team at Taunton State Hospital. As a Registered Nurse II, you will provide direct nursing care to adult psychiatric patients, establish nursing plans of care, and assess the health care needs of patients.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct professional nursing care to assigned patients, utilizing a patient-centered approach to assist patients in meeting their goals and needs.
- Establish a therapeutic rapport with assigned patients to facilitate open communication and assist staff in providing effective care.
- Oversee the maintenance of a safe, secure, and therapeutic environment, utilizing acuity and appropriate staff assignments.
- Assure that all patients are assessed on a daily basis for quality care related to physical, medical, psychiatric, spiritual, and cultural needs.
- Gain knowledge required to provide patient-centered care to all patients within the recovery model by attending all assigned educational trainings.
- One year of full-time, or equivalent part-time, experience as a registered nurse in a recognized hospital, clinic, or medical facility.
- Current and valid registration as a professional nurse under the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing.
Taunton State Hospital is a 45-bed inpatient facility that provides continuing care inpatient services to adults with major mental illnesses. We are a leader in the successful integration of the principles of recovery and a rehabilitation philosophy into the treatment model.
