POSITION SUMMARY:

The Retail Associate plays a crucial role in enhancing the esteemed Red Wing brand image through exceptional sales techniques and fostering enduring customer relationships.

This is accomplished by delivering the Ultimate Fit Experience (UFX), promoting our high-quality products, and ensuring outstanding customer service.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Guide customers through the Ultimate Fit Experience, ensuring personalized service.
  • Recommend suitable accessories and educate customers on their benefits.
  • Generate leads for industrial sales opportunities.
  • Meet and exceed daily sales and productivity targets.
  • Maintain an appealing sales floor presentation and uphold cleanliness standards.
  • Continuously enhance product knowledge and operational standards through ongoing training.
  • Ensure a safe and healthy work environment by adhering to organizational policies and legal regulations.
  • Support daily retail operations effectively.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES:
  • Utilize electronic communication tools to gather necessary information.
  • Maintain high-quality service by adhering to established organizational standards.
  • Embody the core values of Red Wing Shoe Company.
  • Be open to performing additional tasks as needed.
  • Foster collaborative relationships with colleagues and customers.

QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma or equivalent work experience is required, along with 1-2 years of relevant experience. Candidates should be results-oriented, possess effective communication skills, and demonstrate proficiency in computer usage.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • In-depth understanding of Red Wing Shoe Company's mission and values.
  • Knowledge of profit and loss management.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and a passion for innovation.
  • Experience in retail footwear is advantageous.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Candidates must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, bend and squat, perform overhead lifting, and stand for extended periods. Responsibilities also include various housekeeping tasks to maintain store cleanliness.


WORK ENVIRONMENT:

This position is based in a retail store setting.
