Job Overview:
The Electronic Technician Maintenance I role is integral to the Army Training Aids, Devices, Simulators, and Simulations Maintenance Program (ATMP). This position primarily focuses on supporting various military simulation systems.
- Conducts basic troubleshooting, replacement, and repair of military simulation components by adhering to detailed instructions.
- Operates under the guidance of senior technicians.
- Utilizes foundational technical knowledge of electronics to identify and resolve equipment issues.
- Records and maintains accurate maintenance history, ensuring all corrective actions are documented in the AWARE Management Information System (MIS).
- Communicates maintenance challenges and operational updates to senior staff.
- Participates in quality, security, and safety training initiatives.
- Protects all assigned equipment from loss, theft, and damage.
- May receive cross-training to assist with other training aids and devices as required.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in an Electronics Technician Maintenance role or similar.
- Preferred experience in repairing military computer-based simulation devices.
- Ability to wear necessary personal protective equipment and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must possess or be able to obtain a valid driver's license.
- Active SECRET Security Clearance is required.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical manuals and documents.
- Capable of working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Must acquire a Government Common Access Card (CAC) for access to installations.
- Willingness to travel temporarily, including overseas assignments.
- Availability to work shifts, nights, weekends, or holidays as needed.
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- U.S. Citizenship is mandatory.
