Job Overview:

The Electronic Technician Maintenance I role is integral to the Army Training Aids, Devices, Simulators, and Simulations Maintenance Program (ATMP). This position primarily focuses on supporting various military simulation systems.

  • Conducts basic troubleshooting, replacement, and repair of military simulation components by adhering to detailed instructions.
  • Operates under the guidance of senior technicians.
  • Utilizes foundational technical knowledge of electronics to identify and resolve equipment issues.
  • Records and maintains accurate maintenance history, ensuring all corrective actions are documented in the AWARE Management Information System (MIS).
  • Communicates maintenance challenges and operational updates to senior staff.
  • Participates in quality, security, and safety training initiatives.
  • Protects all assigned equipment from loss, theft, and damage.
  • May receive cross-training to assist with other training aids and devices as required.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in an Electronics Technician Maintenance role or similar.
  • Preferred experience in repairing military computer-based simulation devices.
  • Ability to wear necessary personal protective equipment and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain a valid driver's license.
  • Active SECRET Security Clearance is required.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting technical manuals and documents.
  • Capable of working outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Must acquire a Government Common Access Card (CAC) for access to installations.
  • Willingness to travel temporarily, including overseas assignments.
  • Availability to work shifts, nights, weekends, or holidays as needed.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • U.S. Citizenship is mandatory.
