Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the professional, technical, and administrative aspects of the department, ensuring cost-effective services are provided to various stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement land development plans, stormwater management systems, and water and sanitary sewer designs.
  • Manage multiple projects and workloads with competing deadlines, ensuring timely completion and quality control.
  • Oversee regulatory agency permitting and proposal scope and budget preparation.
  • Manage financial aspects, including invoice preparation and accounts receivable.
  • Develop and implement project schedules, ensuring effective client management and staff mentoring.
  • Other project duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
  • 10-15 years of experience in civil engineering, with knowledge of local city, county, and state land use processes and regulations.
  • Proficiency in technical skills, including stormwater management, hydraulics, hydrological analyses, grading, and site development related designs.
  • Familiarity with Civil 3D software.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to interact well with coworkers, clients, and regulatory agencies.
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical, and judgment capabilities.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Construction oversight experience a plus.
  • Dedicated, responsive, and organized.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English for job-related communications and instructions.
