Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Facilities Support professional to join our team at St. Philip's School and Community Center. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and safety of our school and community center premises.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilities Maintenance and Custodial Services
    • Perform a wide range of custodial and maintenance duties to ensure a clean, orderly, and safe environment.
    • Assist with duties in and around the campus to preserve the excellent condition, appearance, and functionality of our premises.
  • Emergency Response and Support
    • Respond to emergency calls for facilities assistance and provide timely support.
    • Coordinate resources and implement the set up and take down of furniture and equipment for campus and community events.
  • Inventory Management and Quality Control
    • Maintain accurate inventory records for equipment and supplies.
    • Conduct periodic quality checks on equipment and systems to ensure everything is up to standard.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Education and Experience
    • High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
    • Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role is preferred.
    • Minimum 2 years' experience with facilities cleaning, housekeeping, or custodial duties.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Effective problem-solving abilities.
    • Good verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to receive and follow directions both verbally and in writing.
    • Ability to speak, comprehend, and communicate effectively in English.
    • Understanding of general maintenance procedures and techniques.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Primarily standing or walking 100% of the time in/outdoors.
  • Extended periods of standing may be required. Ability to lift, push, and pull at least 30 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, and/or walk without assistance for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, squat, and lift frequently throughout a shift.
  • Ability to operate basic office and cleaning tools/machinery, including a golf cart on occasion.
