About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Facilities Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Virgin Hotels. As a key member of our Engineering department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our hotel facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on hotel equipment and systems, including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC.
  • Assist in the maintenance and upkeep of hotel facilities, including guest rooms, meeting rooms, and public areas.
  • Respond promptly to guest requests and resolve maintenance issues in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Maintain a high level of safety and security in all areas of the hotel, including the handling of hazardous materials and equipment.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and excellent guest experiences.
Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience in a maintenance or engineering role, preferably in a hotel or hospitality setting.
  • Strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems, as well as basic carpentry and groundskeeping skills.
  • Ability to lift 75lbs and work at heights, as well as crawl into and through small spaces.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Associate's degree or technical certification in a related field, or equivalent experience.
