We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Transmission Coordinator to join our team at the City of Lubbock. As a key member of our utility team, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with electrical transmission and distribution installations, as well as providing effective oversight and mentoring of personnel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the compliance of work performed by Linemen Journey crews, providing effective oversight and mentoring of personnel to ensure quality customer service and service delivery.
  • Provide interpretation and resolve problems on electrical transmission and distribution installations, researching and developing recommendations for construction standards and policy changes.
  • Perform field inspections of construction in-progress to verify compliance with approved construction plans and construction standards, communicating effectively with contractors, subcontractors, and Linemen Journey crew.
  • Prepare correction notices and other field correspondence, maintaining records of inspection results and comments.
  • Enforce or compel compliance with applicable construction standards and policies of electric transmission and distribution systems.
Requirements
  • Completion of an associates degree, vocational technical degree, or specialized training equivalent to satisfactory completion of two years of college education, with an additional six years and up to ten years of experience with an electric utility.
  • Valid current Driver's License.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with others, maintain records, and prepare reports.
Working Conditions

This is a part-time position, and the employee will be required to frequently stand and walk during the shift, occasionally climb stairs, ladders, and inclined surfaces, and frequently bend and kneel.
