Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Leave Administrator to join our team at Sturdy Health. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the support for all leave of absence cases and workers' compensation claims, ensuring compliance with the Family and Medical Leave Act and related employment laws.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate all aspects of leave and workers' compensation programs, including tracking hours used/taken and working closely with HRIS, Workers Comp third party administrator (TPA) and Payroll to ensure accurate and correct pay for associates.
  • Provide extensive case management and coordinate administrative aspects of cases and claims, including liaison work with managers on finding alternate work arrangements or Fit for Duty liaison.
  • Ensure that all reportable workers' compensation claims are submitted to the company's TPA within 48 business hours from the date of the incident.
  • Develop and conduct workshops and education sessions regarding the leave process, and educate and inform employees regarding workers compensation process and their rights.
  • Manage the interactive process for ADA reasonable accommodation requests, and counsel and assist faculty and staff regarding the ADA process, including interpreting policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Partner closely with HRBPs on all related cases/claims, and meet regularly to review the status of cases/claims and develop legally sound strategies for a mutually beneficial resolution.
Requirements
  • Strong PC skills with demonstrated proficiency in Word, Excel, Power Point, MS Outlook and Internet.
  • Comprehensive understanding of FMLA, Worker's Compensation and benefit policies and administration.
  • Ability to demonstrate effective time management skills, with ability to meet deadlines, and to manage assigned projects/tasks from initiation to completion as required.
  • Independent judgment and thinking; demonstrates initiative, strong verbal and written communication skills; and exhibits professionalism in dealing with others (internally and externally).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Four-year degree preferred.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
Working Conditions

Extensive use of computer keyboard. Able to lift without restriction and use proper body mechanics, sits for extended periods of time.
