Job Summary

The Senior Manager, Contract Marketing leads a team of customer contracts and pricing analysts. The primary responsibilities will be to lead all contract marketing initiatives for respective customers, including management of daily business functions such as bids, awards, special programs, contract negotiations, and contract preparation and execution for GPOs, IDNs under assigned commercial customers.

This role will be the primary point of contact with national accounts and field sales to guide pricing recommendations and contract strategy for a variety of Fresenius Kabi customers that deliver maximum return.

The Senior Manager leads a team responsible for preparing commercial analysis for pricing recommendations. The Senior Manager identifies key trends and communicates business drivers, market dynamics, and competitive landscape to support optimal business decisions to Leadership.

This is a hybrid position, and the selected candidate will be required to work onsite in the Lake Zurich, Illinois office 3 days a week.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Compile and maintain sales data and product information for timely submission of bids/RFPs and RFI's.
  • Prepare, lead, and develop customer business reviews in partnership with National Accounts.
  • Participate and influence contract terms for key GPO, IDN, and customer agreements and prepare redline documents for customer contract negotiations.
  • Draft sales contracts and other programs or documents as requested.
  • Plan and negotiate terms, agreements, and understandings as directed by other stakeholders (i.e. senior management, finance departments, national accounts, legal, etc.), with the ability to proactively articulate and identify potential business risks.
  • Manage staff in the administration and governance of pricing relationships, membership rosters, and contract eligibility.
  • Lead and develop contract strategy discussions and coordinate bid responses in cooperation with National Accounts, IDN, and Major Account Executives.
  • Manages staff workload and deadline requirements, prioritizes and allocates resources, trains, evaluates, disciplines, and motivates assigned staff.
  • Ability to clearly articulate the consequences of pricing and business analysis decisions to leadership while developing recommendations for GPO pricing, rebates, programs, and contract strategies.
  • Working knowledge of the administration and governance of pricing relationships, membership rosters, and contract eligibility process.
  • Manage the deadlines and follow-up with all key stakeholders regarding status of projects to ensure timely and accurate execution.
  • Collect feedback and report status from internal and external customers on business metrics and report key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Identify and lead process improvement opportunities and tool enhancement opportunities in coordination with stakeholders to ensure timely execution.
  • Participates in any and all reasonable work activities as assigned by management.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:
  • Bachelor's degree required, Master's or advanced degree preferred.
  • ~8+ years of related experience in customer contracting, sales/marketing, pricing, with a leading role in developing internal and external working relationships.
  • ~Superior interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to manage cross-functional teams.
  • ~Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, and advanced skill set with Excel).
  • ~Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills with ability to make recommendations based on analysis.
  • ~Experience with SAP, BEX, Qlik, Veeva, Spring CM, and Model N preferred.
  • ~Able to manage and prioritize multiple complex projects with demonstrated time management skills.
  • ~Domestic and international travel required.
