Key Responsibilities:
- Rotate through various specialty departments, gaining diverse experience while maintaining a consistent schedule.
- Deliver technical and nursing care to patients, utilizing critical thinking skills.
- Perform routine clinical testing and procedures, including blood draws, blood pressure assessments, and IV catheter placements.
- Exhibit strong communication skills to build and maintain client relationships, providing clear explanations with empathy and tact.
- Handle challenging patients for diagnostics and treatments with minimal stress.
- Monitor and recover patients under sedation or anesthesia.
- Calculate and administer medications accurately.
- Properly manage laboratory sample handling and submission.
- Maintain precise and current medical records.
- Commit to delivering the highest standard of patient care.
- Demonstrate a willingness to learn new skills and accept constructive feedback.
- Collaborate effectively with the entire veterinary team.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT), Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT), or Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT), or in the process of obtaining licensure.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Proactive and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Proficient in using computers and managing detailed information.
