ROLE SUMMARY:

The Production Team Leader plays a crucial role in assisting the Production Manager to drive continuous improvement initiatives within a defined value stream (from procurement to delivery). This position is instrumental in achieving objectives related to safety, quality, cost efficiency, customer satisfaction, and employee development.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Mentor, train, and empower a team of versatile associates in alignment with Renewal By Andersen's values and strategic goals, ensuring a respectful and productive work environment.
  • Monitor production schedules to identify challenges and implement effective solutions.
  • Guarantee product quality standards are met through adherence to established processes, comprehensive training, and effective use of tools and data.
  • Facilitate the implementation of customer-centric processes in line with lean methodologies, providing training and guidance to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Encourage a culture of continuous improvement by motivating team members to identify and execute enhancements to existing processes.
  • Support associates in understanding company policies and procedures, addressing process-related issues proactively to boost team performance.
  • Engage in daily communication with team members regarding performance metrics, strategic initiatives, safety protocols, and quality standards.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3 - 5 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
  • Proven ability to inspire and motivate teams.
  • Experience in driving continuous improvement initiatives.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Prior experience in a manufacturing setting with a solid understanding of manufacturing principles.
  • Further education in Management, Human Resources, or related fields.
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Lean certification is advantageous.
