About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Research Assistant I to join our team at the Henry M. Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine. As a Research Assistant, you will play a critical role in supporting our research projects, working closely with senior technical and professional staff to carry out research projects in a laboratory environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform research projects, including data collection and organization, and follow standard operating procedures.
  • Enter data accurately, efficiently, and in a timely manner, maintaining clear and accurate records and inventories in accordance with Good Clinical and/or Good Laboratory practices.
  • Maintain laboratory supplies and ensure proper cleanliness and sanitation in accordance with Good Clinical and/or Good Laboratory practices.
  • Assist in the preparation of technical reports, summaries, and protocols, and create and communicate detailed observations on experiments.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Minimum of 0-2 years of experience required.
  • Knowledge of standard laboratory techniques and ability to follow detailed instructions.
  • Good communication and analytical skills.
  • Experience working with laboratory rodents required.
Work Environment

This position will take place primarily in a laboratory setting, requiring the ability to lift materials up to 25 lbs.
