Position Overview

Under the guidance of the Community Manager, the Community Operations Assistant plays a vital role in supporting and facilitating all facets of community management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Community Manager in overseeing all community staff.
  • Engage in customer service and leasing initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with tax credit regulations through training, audits, inspections, and reporting.
  • Support leasing and marketing strategies.
  • Help prepare documentation for new and renewal leases.
  • Advise on rental rate modifications or concessions to the Community Manager.
  • Review resident files and financial records to identify unpaid or overdue fees, communicate with residents about outstanding balances, implement collection procedures, and uphold lease agreements.
  • Contribute to resident loyalty and retention strategies alongside the Community Manager.
  • Assist in organizing daily operations and community tasks.
  • Collect, record, and deposit rents/security deposits and other community revenues.
  • Support the Community Manager in maintaining budgeted occupancy and collections.
Qualifications
  • At least three (3) years of experience as an onsite Community Operations Assistant or Leasing Consultant in multi-family housing, hospitality, or a related field.
  • CAM or ARM certification is preferred.
  • One year of experience in LIHTC communities.
  • Housing Credit Certified Professional (HCCP) designation is preferred.
  • Certified Occupancy Specialist (COS) designation is preferred (for Section 8).
  • Proficiency in English communication is required.
