About the Role: As a Construction Materials Technician at Bunnell-Lammons Engineering, Inc., you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of construction projects. You will work under the supervision of a registered professional engineer and be responsible for collecting and testing construction materials, monitoring contractor activities, and preparing daily reports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect and test construction materials, including concrete, soil, and other site materials
  • Monitor contractor activities, including earthwork and soil construction, foundation/subgrade evaluation, reinforcing steel, concrete placements, and masonry
  • Prepare daily reports for submission to the assigned project engineer, including test results and construction site observations

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or General Education (GED)
  • Valid Driver's License with Clean Motor Vehicle Driving history (3 years)
  • Ability to work outdoors in all seasons and weather conditions for extended periods of time
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently
  • Effective communication skills, both verbally and in writing
  • Basic knowledge of smartphones and computers for communication and record keeping

Preferred Qualifications:

  • ACI, NACE, ICPI, or other relevant certifications
  • Soils Inspector, Reinforced Concrete, or Masonry Special Inspector certifications
