ResponsibilitiesGeneral Position Description

Program Description
This initiative offers Systems Engineering Technical Advisor (SETA) and Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) services to a key Intelligence Community (IC) client, focusing on critical, assured space communications and the supporting IT framework.
- Engage in all phases of the systems engineering lifecycle, commencing with Concept of Operations (CONOPS) development.
- Collaborate directly with users, including those in high-stakes environments, to gather their requirements.
- Work alongside developers to deliver vital capabilities.
- Establish and conduct tests to ensure that advanced capabilities meet rigorous standards.
- Facilitate the transition to operational status and ensure the success of critical operations.
- Provide essential insights to support significant decisions made by policymakers.
- Assist in client acquisition strategies.
- Support future technology advancements and modernization initiatives.
- Deliver cyber and information assurance support.
Specific Position Description
This role is part of a contract with an Intelligence Community (IC) government agency. It presents an exciting opportunity to contribute to the early stages of a long-term contract aimed at modernizing systems, particularly through the adoption of Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) as the primary methodology for systems engineering.
- Lead the transition to MBSE over the coming years.
- Develop a strategic plan for moving from traditional document-centric systems engineering to MBSE.
- Conduct systems modeling utilizing SysML and recognized MBSE toolsets.
- Assist fellow systems engineers in becoming proficient in MBSE.
- Migrate all systems engineering activities into the MBSE framework.

Required:
- Must possess and maintain a TS/SCI clearance with Poly.
- 8 to 10 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree, or 6 to 8 years with a Master's degree, or 3 to 5 years with a PhD.
- Technical Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team of engineers.
- Proven success in working with government clients.
- 3 to 5 years of experience utilizing Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools and methodologies.
Desired:
- Level 3 (SysML Model Builder Intermediate) or higher INCOSE/OMG supported MBSE certification.
- 5+ years of experience in systems engineering and the acquisition of satellite/ground segment hardware/software in commercial or government sectors.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Computer Science.
- Familiarity with agile software development methodologies.
- Experience in cloud systems integration.
- Knowledge of RF-based satellite communications.
- Experience in digital signal processing.
