Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

As a CT Scan Technologist, your primary responsibilities will include:
  1. Performing diagnostic procedures using CT scanners to produce high-quality images of the body's internal structures.
  2. Preparing patients for exams, including explaining procedures, positioning patients, and ensuring their comfort and safety.
  3. Operating CT scanners and other equipment to minimize radiation exposure and maximize image quality.
  4. Interpreting patient information and adjusting technical factors to optimize image quality.
  5. Maintaining a clean and organized work environment, adhering to infection control protocols, and ensuring proper disposal of waste.
  6. Collaborating with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective patient care.

Requirements

To be successful as a CT Scan Technologist at South Texas Radiology Imaging Centers, you will need:
  1. A degree from an accredited radiology technology program or an associate's degree in a related field.
  2. Current certification as a Registered Technologist (RT) in radiography or a related field.
  3. At least two years of experience as a CT Scan Technologist, preferably in an outpatient imaging setting.
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals.
  5. A strong commitment to delivering exceptional patient care and maintaining high-quality imaging standards.
