Rutland Regional Medical Center: Ostomy Care Clinical Nurse Coordinator

The Rutland Regional Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Nurse Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing consultative and direct clinical care services for patients with ostomies, fistulae, tubes, dermal wounds, and incontinence care.

Evaluating patient outcomes, identifying populations at risk, and proposing solutions are crucial aspects of this role. Additionally, you will provide education services for nursing, medical, and allied health staff, as well as consumers, related to ostomies and wounds. Your expertise will also be sought after by all levels of nursing and physician patient care stakeholders for consultation.

In collaboration with the healthcare team, you will assist in research activities aimed at improving clinical services and patient outcomes. If you have a strong foundation in WOCN clinical nursing knowledge and skills, possess excellent leadership skills, and can effectively communicate both verbally and in writing, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.

Requirements:
  • Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Two years of clinical experience preferred
  • Leadership or nursing education experience preferred
  • Licensed in the State of Vermont
  • CWOCN Certification (or required within 1 year of hire)
  • BLS Certification through American Heart Association
  • WOCN clinical nursing knowledge and skills to provide age-appropriate care
  • Knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span
  • Ability to assess and interpret data regarding the patient's status to determine the appropriate plan of care
  • Leadership skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • Intermediate Microsoft desktop application skills (i.e., Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
