As our Professional Services team expands, we are on the lookout for a Cloud Solutions Architect. This role is pivotal in our Asset Development division, which focuses on the swift creation of products that enhance and expand Five9's primary offerings. The position entails rapid product development utilizing contemporary methodologies and tools that streamline the definition, architecture, development, and deployment of software solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate expertise in cloud infrastructure best practices, ideally with Google Cloud.
  • Possess a solid understanding of continuous integration processes.
  • Effectively specify and implement infrastructure for testing and production environments.
  • Have a robust background in software development, ideally as a full-stack developer.
  • Experience with comprehensive toolchains, including project definition, source control, and test automation.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Jira and Confluence is advantageous.
  • Basic knowledge of JavaScript, Typescript, and HTML is required.
  • Preferred skills include Typescript and Vue.
  • Proficient in using tools like Visual Studio Code, Jira, Confluence, and Git.
  • Understand cloud-based software development considerations and architectures (GCP, AWS, etc.) and web-based API interfaces (SOAP, REST, AJAX, WebSocket, etc.).
  • Competent in using Unix-based operating systems.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in application or integration software development, with a focus on Computer-Telephony Integration (CTI) systems such as Cisco ICM/UCCE, Genesys, or Avaya being a plus.
  • At least 3 years of experience in developing web-based applications (HTML5, JavaScript) and related tools such as jQuery, Bootstrap, Require JS, Ext JS, and Marionette.
  • 1 year or more of experience with web application hosting services such as Heroku or OpenShift.
  • A BA/BS degree or equivalent professional experience is required.

Work Environment: This position offers flexibility for remote work for candidates outside a specified radius of our office. For those within the radius, a hybrid work model is in place, requiring a set number of days in the office each week.
