Job Summary

East Baltimore Community Corporation Reflective Treatment Center seeks a highly qualified Part-Time Medical Director to oversee the administration and oversight of all medical services performed by this program. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in addiction medicine and experience in providing services to individuals with substance-related disorders.

The Medical Director will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all Federal and State regulations pertaining to Medication Assisted Treatment. Additionally, the candidate will provide onsite services, order methadone using the appropriate DEA 222 form, and perform weekly audits of all Schedule 1 and 2 Narcotics within inventory.

The successful candidate will have a strong clinical background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. A minimum of three years of documented experience providing services to individuals with substance-related disorders is required, as well as board certification in addiction medicine or addiction psychiatry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the administration and oversight of all medical services performed by the program
  • Ensure compliance with all Federal and State regulations pertaining to Medication Assisted Treatment
  • Provide onsite services, including ordering methadone and performing weekly audits of all Schedule 1 and 2 Narcotics within inventory
  • Conduct weekly random audits of all dispensing records
  • Review and provide written verification that all applicants admitted into treatment meet the necessary requirements for the appropriate ASAM/ABAM level of care
  • Document the need for ancillary referrals for medical conditions that may negatively impact an individual's ability to participate in outpatient Medication Assisted Treatment
  • Conduct in-service staff development trainings as needed and other related duties as outlined in Comar Regulations

Requirements:
