Network Engineer II Position

At Phoenix Defense, we are seeking a highly motivated Network Engineer II to join our team of innovative professionals.

This exciting opportunity will allow you to work closely with technical management and reports to the IT Lead, managing the JLCCTC virtual environments, including storage administration and network administration.

You will also work with the team to troubleshoot helpdesk tickets and will be assigned other projects or tasks in alignment with the level and scope of the position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
  • Troubleshoot network issues and provide timely resolution to ensure minimal downtime.
  • Design and implement complex network solutions to meet business requirements.
  • Optimize network hardware and software to enable VMware integration.
  • Design and implement virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) and enable template management.

Requirements:

  • Associate to bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Network Engineer, Information Systems Security, or a related technical field.
  • Minimum of Five (5) to Seven (7) years of experience supporting IT projects/programs, networking, integration and/or systems engineering.
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate, or similar certification is required.
  • Palo Alto Experience Preferred.
