Job Summary:

The Sr. Cultural Resource Project Manager position is a senior-level role at North Wind Resource Consulting, providing expert supervision for projects mainly located in Arizona, with opportunities to work in surrounding states.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage project budgets, staffing, and invoicing, ensuring timely updates to supervisory staff and fellow Project Managers.
  • Attend PM meetings and biweekly business development meetings to foster growth and collaboration.
  • Demonstrate experience and success in budget and proposal composition, showcasing expertise in project management.
  • Oversee multiple projects, accurately tracking project budgets and ensuring on-time completion.
  • Organize fieldwork mobilization and demobilization, ensuring a smooth workflow.
  • Provide quality assurance and quality control for data collection and client deliverables, upholding high standards.
  • Collaborate with fellow team members, maintaining effective communication and a positive work environment.
  • Produce high-quality reports and deliverables that meet agency and SHPO/THPO standards.
  • Regularly communicate with the Program Manager, Project Managers, field technicians, and Line Supervisor to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Possess a thorough knowledge of the archaeology and history of Arizona and adjacent states.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Participate in marketing efforts and business development/outreach with prospective clients, contributing to the company's growth.
  • Collaborate with accountants to produce accurate monthly project invoices, maintaining financial accuracy.
  • Mentor junior personnel, reviewing deliverables and providing guidance for professional development.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 10 years of demonstrated experience with Class III archaeological surveys, monitoring, and testing projects in the Southwest.
  • Master's degree in Archaeology or a closely related field, with expertise in artifact identification/classification, in-field documentation procedures, and site recording processes.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong work ethic with a mature sense of professionalism.
  • Excellent technical writing skills, demonstrated in the completion of Class I and Class III reports.
  • Proficiency in computer programs such as Word, Excel, Adobe, and Outlook.
  • Ability to manage large-scale surveys, testing, and/or excavation projects.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with attention to detail.
  • Ability and willingness to travel to various field locations, conduct fieldwork in rugged terrain, and work in inclement weather.
  • Willingness to work irregular hours, maintaining high performance standards.

Estimated Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications, plus benefits and opportunities for growth.
