We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Scribe Specialist to join our team at Community Health Systems. As a Medical Scribe Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care by accurately documenting medical information during patient visits and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately and efficiently document patient information, including medical history, symptoms, and treatment plans.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure accurate and complete documentation of patient care.
- Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and pharmacology.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients, families, and healthcare providers.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on industry developments and best practices.
Requirements:
- Certified or Registered Medical Assistant or Medical Transcriptionist.
- High School Diploma (GED) with related experience and post-high school courses in Medical Terminology, Pharmacology, Anatomy/Physiology preferred.
- Accurate typing or data entry skills.
- Demonstrated skills with Windows-based programs.
- Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology, medication, anatomy, including correct spelling.
- Experience with medical office and/or medical records documentation preferred.
- Bilingual English/Spanish, both speaking/writing, preferred.
