About the Role

Auria is seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Engineer to join our team in Huntsville, AL. As a key member of our Command, Control, Battle Management and Communications (C2BMC) program, you will work in an integrated team environment with other systems and specialty engineers to develop solutions that meet the needs of our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide use case briefing development support to junior systems engineering team members to enhance their skills in the department.
  • Adhere to DOORS processes and procedures, reviewing the content and details of technical products, and act as a technical interface to MDA working-level counterparts on an as-required basis.
  • Focus on supporting the development and review of interface documents, system/subsystem requirements, Verification Cross Reference Matrix (VCRM) development, and author and perform formal and informal engineering reviews.
  • Actively participate in the efforts associated with Agile development, including iteration planning, status, and agile team leadership.
  • Contribute to implementation by analyzing high-level needs and defining a structured and logical approach to refine the capability into an integrated set of requirements that lead to a fielded product.
  • Communicate effectively and clearly present technical approaches and findings, and write and implement project engineering plans.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in a STEM discipline from an accredited university and 5 years of related experience, or a Master's degree in a STEM discipline and 3 years experience, or a PhD and 0 years of experience.
  • Current active in-scope DoD issued SECRET security clearance at the time of application, which is required to start.
  • Understanding of systems engineering processes and principles.
  • Experience working in an integrated team environment with other systems, software, and specialty engineers to develop solutions.
  • Proven track record of successfully applying system engineering principles to develop product solutions.
  • Experience decomposing requirements from parent-level to lower system/subsystem-level requirements.
  • Experience developing system engineering artifacts (e.g., Interface Control Documents, Use Cases Briefings, Sequence Diagrams, etc.).
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% to support business needs.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working within an Agile development environment.
  • Domain experience with both Space and Missile Defense.
