Job Summary:
We're seeking a seasoned Senior Right of Way Specialist to manage projects and conduct acquisition and relocation tasks for various right of way projects. As a key member of our team, you'll provide project management, client and design staff coordination, field title investigations, offer presentation and negotiation services, research property ownership, file setup, notarize documents, draft conveyance documents, and obtain mortgage releases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage multiple right of way projects, including acquisition and relocation tasks
- Provide project management, client and design staff coordination, and field title investigations

- Notarize documents, draft conveyance documents, and obtain mortgage releases
- Meet with displaced property owners and tenants, provide referrals, prepare relocation claims, and coordinate move estimates
- Maintain project spreadsheets for clients
Requirements:
- Associate's degree in business, planning, survey, real estate, or a closely related field with ten or more years of right of way related experience
- Knowledge, experience, and contacts in right of way work related to Transportation and Utility Projects
- Skill in conflict resolution, including the ability to address differences of opinion or facts and use the most appropriate method to reach an effective solution
- Ability to work independently, communicate and document effectively, handle large volumes of work
- Willingness to travel within Minnesota and to out-state projects
- MnDOT REALMS software experience
- Minnesota Real Estate License and Public Notary License in MN
- Acquisition and Relocation experience in Minnesota, Wisconsin, South Dakota, and North Dakota
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record
- Knowledge of acquisition and relocation procedures under the Uniform Relocation Act
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with GIS, Microsoft Office Products, and various databases
Preferred Qualifications:
- IRWA Member
- IRWA SR/WA designation
