Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Human System Integration (HSI) Engineer to join our team at ZipRecruiter. The ideal candidate will have experience in conducting integrated and comprehensive analysis, design, and assessment of requirements, concepts, and resources across multiple domains.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to contribute to the development and implementation of Architectures, both external and internal, for efforts in the Research, Development, Test, and Evaluation (RDT&E) phase of the acquisition life cycle.

Main Responsibilities
  • Identify risks associated with the development and implementation of Architectures.
  • Validate data and develop technical drawings that document Information Technology (IT) architectures and related specifications and requirements.
  • Provide functional knowledge and technical support for developing enterprise architecture, including data structure supporting Systems Modeling (SySML).
  • Monitor and Track the as-is Architectures, which include fielded and programmed architectures focused on programs, projects, and their interfaces.
  • Modify existing technical drawings that document IT architectures and related specifications and requirements.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as engineering or physical science, with 8+ years of experience.
  • 4+ years of experience in government-related Research and Development (RDT&E), Testing and Evaluation (T&E), and systems acquisition programs.
  • Comparative multi-domain HSI engineering analysis, impact assessments, trade-off studies of complex systems.
  • 4+ years of relevant HSI engineering experience in at least 2 of the areas listed below:
  1. HSI design, installation, integration, and test support either in a laboratory or direct applications.
  2. Design documentation/specification development.
  3. HSI test planning and test procedures development, test conduct, analysis, and reporting.
  4. HSI-related engineering requirements, performance and risk analysis.
  5. Applying engineering principles to investigate, analyze, plan, design, develop, implement, test or evaluate systems.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Experience providing functional knowledge and technical support of developing enterprise architecture to support Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
  • Experience monitoring, maintaining, enhancing, and managing all system operations and system administration, integration, and data transfer within the Integrated Modeling Environment (IME).
  • Experience developing roadmaps for Science and Technology (S&T), and providing forecasted systems and capabilities for integration into forward-looking views of the Enterprise Architecture (EA), including Target Architecture.

Estimated salary: $120,000 - $160,000 per year.
