About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Airport Operations Supervisor to join our team at Waukesha County Airport/Crites Field. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our airport facilities, including grounds maintenance, building upkeep, and equipment maintenance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, coordinate, and supervise daily activities related to grounds maintenance and airport operations.
  • Schedule staff and oversee the implementation of projects.
  • Communicate effectively between all parties involved and monitor project progress.
  • Plan, coordinate, and review work performed by employees and contractors.
  • Handle routine personnel issues and assist in the testing and selection of applicants.
  • Evaluate and determine appropriate staffing levels and equipment availability.
  • Respond to emergency situations such as aircraft incidents, snowstorms, windstorms, flooding, and fires.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Five (5) years of full-time paid building and grounds maintenance work experience, with at least two (2) years of supervisory responsibilities.
  • Recognized post high school training with specialization in park management, horticulture, landscape architecture, forestry or a directly related field may be substituted on a year for year basis for up to four years of the required experience.
  • Valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in aviation management, engineering, business, or a related field.
  • Pilot's License.
