Job Summary

The Salvation Army Central Territory is seeking a highly skilled Intake Specialist to join our team. As an Intake Specialist, you will play a critical role in assessing clients and placing them in appropriate treatment programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough intake assessments to gather demographic and background information, as well as complete comprehensive needs, abilities, strengths, and preferences assessments.
  • Develop and implement initial treatment plans to initiate treatment for clients.
  • Collaborate with external referral sources to ensure seamless service delivery and alignment with The Salvation Army's mission.
  • Utilize the DSM V to diagnose clients based on interview criteria.
  • Staff cases in weekly multi-disciplinary team meetings to assess treatment level of care and diagnosis.
  • Maintain client confidentiality in accordance with federal regulations and The Salvation Army's standards.
  • Enter required client information into the CSM computer system.
Requirements
  • Master's Degree or Licensing Track (License Mental Health Counselor LMHC or License Clinical Addiction Counselor LCAC), LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker).
  • Two years of office experience.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to maintain The Salvation Army Driver's qualification standard.
  • Computer proficiency with Microsoft products and ability to learn electronic reporting systems.
  • Ability to speak, write, and understand English in a manner sufficient for effective communication.
Working Conditions
