Job Summary

Havtech is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Controls Sales Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for identifying and selling building automation solutions that help our clients achieve their environmental, operational, financial, and people goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prospect and develop relationships with new clients to identify potential sales opportunities.
  • Develop a working knowledge of Havtech's offerings and utilize account management processes to target customers.
  • Develop and implement specific action plans to improve project closure rates and produce profitable business.
  • Develop and deliver presentations for prospective clients to showcase our building automation solutions.
  • Convert leads into opportunities and develop opportunities into win-win customer and Havtech projects.
  • Lead or support coordinated sales efforts involving multiple Havtech sales groups.
  • Work effectively in a team selling environment and maintain high-level business relationships with clients.
  • Collect and communicate project information required to create quality project estimates.
  • Coordinate and attend site reviews as required.
  • Determine recommended selling strategies and initial pricing for projects.
  • Present proposals and negotiate price and contract terms and conditions with customers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in a technical or business-related field.
  • Three years of experience in BAS Sales, Engineering, or Marketing.
  • CEM, LEED AP, PE accreditations or certificates preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to function independently and deliver results.
