Job Summary

Syntegon is a leading supplier of process and packaging technology, serving the pharmaceutical, food, and confectionery industries. We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of innovative packaging solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop standard and custom high-speed automated packaging equipment
  • Create assembly and part models, drawings, bills of materials, and machine specifications
  • Support testing and validation of custom designs on the shop floor and process engineering change notices
  • Ensure the mechanical design of our equipment meets functional and performance requirements
  • Participate in systematic design reviews and contribute to the improvement of standardization and modularization of our platforms
  • Perform load calculations and technical calculations in areas such as strength of materials, kinematics, and heat flow
  • Visit customer sites to understand application challenges and build relationships with customers
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project management, sales, and software engineering
  • Identify opportunities for product and engineering process improvement and lead continuous improvement projects
  • Maintain compliance with Syntegon company policies, quality standards, and industry safety standards

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline
  • Minimum 1+ year design experience with 3D parametric CAD systems
