Overview

Healthy Kids Programs is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Before and After School Program Staff member. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing a safe, healthy, and engaging environment for children aged 5-12.

Responsibilities

  • Implement hands-on activities aligned with our Healthy Kids Curriculum, covering various subjects such as fitness, STEAM, academic adventures, arts, and more.
  • Create a positive and inclusive atmosphere that fosters social, emotional, and cognitive development in children.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication with parents and guardians through regular updates and progress reports.
  • Ensure compliance with OCFS guidelines, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and host school rules.
  • Perform management functions such as attendance tracking, registration, and staffing, as required.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old and hold a High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience working with children under 13 is preferred, but not required. We value passion and potential.
  • Ability to pass a background check, including fingerprinting, references, and medical clearance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Physical ability to engage in activities with children, including lifting, bending, and carrying up to 50 pounds.
