The Healthcare Reception Coordinator plays a vital role in our organization by welcoming patients and managing their initial interactions with our clinic. This position is essential for ensuring a smooth patient intake process and maintaining an organized front office environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and visitors warmly, directing inquiries to the appropriate team members.
- Schedule appointments efficiently to enhance patient satisfaction and optimize the use of medical facilities.
- Handle patient payments, including co-pays, and ensure accurate reconciliation of financial transactions at the end of each shift.
- Collect necessary identification and documentation from patients prior to their appointments.
- Organize patient files and prepare them for medical examinations or treatments.
- Maintain a tidy and welcoming reception area.
- Assist patients with insurance forms and address billing inquiries.
- Provide support to patients in distress, coordinating transportation when necessary and participating in emergency protocols as required.
Qualifications:
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Preferred experience includes at least one year in a medical front desk role or administrative position.
- Customer service experience of one year is mandatory.
