Job Title: Registered Nurse PreOp PACU

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team in the PreOp PACU department at SCA Health. As a key member of our perioperative team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest level of patient care and satisfaction.

Responsibilities:
  • Patient Assessment and Care: Conduct thorough assessments of patients preoperatively and postoperatively to identify potential risks and develop individualized care plans.
  • Medication Administration: Safely administer medications to patients, adhering to the 8-rights of safe medication administration.
  • Wound and Tissue Perfusion: Perform interventions to maintain the integrity of patients' wounds and tissue perfusion at or above baseline levels.
  • Fluid and Electrolyte Management: Manage patients' fluid and electrolyte balances to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Pain and Comfort Management: Provide acute pain and comfort management as needed to ensure patients' comfort and well-being.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Experience: 2 years of PreOp or PACU experience required.
  • Certifications: Current state licensure to practice, BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
